In just a few short days, Delaware’s premier kickboxing promotion, Gut Check Championship Series returns to “The First State” for an action-packed pro/am card.
Sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Alliance, Gut Check Championship Series has been a staple for over a decade, matching some of the top-tier kickboxers in the region.
In the co-main event of the evening, Syrian refugee, Ahmad Alatmah has been on an absolute tear as of late. Dominating the opposition that comes in his way, Alatmah has been on a winning streak for several years and isn’t looking to lighten up any time soon. The young fighter made the difficult transition to the United States amidst a war in his home country several years ago. Looking for a better life, Alatmah found Rami Elite and head coach, Rami Ibrahim and never turned back. Fully delving into the Muay Thai lifestyle, Alatmah has captured 9 championship titles in the sport in his short time in the US.
“I’m going to war from the moment the bell rings,” Alatmah sternly says. “It will be a surprise” he follows, leaving a mischievous and cryptically embedded game plan that he has in store for his fanbase, crowd, and more importantly, his opponent.
On June 18th, Ahmad Alatmah faces Ocatvious Slaughter for the Gut Check Championship Junior 135lb Muay Thai championship to vie for his 10th title.
Tune in above as MyMMANews catches up with Ahmad Alatmah ahead of his bout with Octavious Slaughter to discuss their upcoming Gut Check Championship main event going down this Saturday, June 18th.
