AJ Dobson discusses his first career UFC win at UFC Vegas 78

AJ Dobson had a dream come true at UFC Vegas 78.

The fight marked the third UFC appearance of Dobson’s career and he was pretty much in a win or go home situation.

After earning a UFC contract on the fifth season of Dana White’s Contender Series, Dobson started his UFC career 0-2.

Obviously no fighter wants to start their UFC careers that way and when fighter’s are in those spots, they know one more loss could result in being cut from the promotion.

Dobson was aware of what was on the line and at UFC Vegas 78 he was able to get his hand raised for the first time.

In his fight with Tafon Nchukwi, Dobson was able to stay patience, move and counter for three rounds and pick up his career UFC win.

The moment was an unforgettable one for Dobson and he admits the emotions were at an all time high afterwards as he celebrated the win.

Now Dobson awaits what’s next and he’s hoping to ride the momentum he’s built at UFC Vegas 78 as his next fight will mark the final one on his UFC contract.

Following his UFC Vegas 78 win, Dobson spoke with MyMMANews to discuss his performance, the thrill of victory in his first UFC win and the pressures he felt coming into the fight.
