Al Iaquinta Makes Powerful Statement

The Wantagh, New York native did something Colin Kaepernick could never do, make a bold statement and then win.

Iaquinta has spoken out against the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s undervalued salary agreements. The Serra-Longo fighter, Iaquinta, stepped into the cage after a two-year absence against a durable veteran, Diego Sanchez.

The number 14-ranked lightweight Iaquinta proved to MMA fans ring rust doesn’t exist by dropping the Jackson-Wink MMA fighter in the first round. It only took 12 strikes against Sanchez to finish him at 1:38 via TKO.

Iaquinta appeared to be the veteran inside the octagon in Nashville, Tennessee, as he used precision timing and patience to deliver Sanchez his third career stoppage. The TKO victory came by the way of Iaquinta’s right hand. After dropping Sanchez the first time, he gathered his feet under him only to be dropped again and finished in the return of “Ragin” Al Iaquinta.

Iaquinta who has had contractual issues with his employer then followed up with his unhappiness online.
