Al Marro Prepared For His Heavyweight Bout At Cage Wars 48

“The Postmaster” Al Marro, returns to the cage once again to fight Carlos Pereira at Cage Wars 48 on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Cage Wars returns to the beautiful Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady, New York. The fight card is headlined by lightweight champion, Kyle Kahler and No. 1 contender, Harley Locklear. In the co-main event, Kyle Glasheen battles Kahler’s MVMMA teammate, Brendan Kennedy in a featherweight title fight matchup.

Marro returns to heavyweight after exploring the light heavyweight division. Marro returns to MVMMA (Mohawk Valley MMA)  to reunite with coach Duff Holmes. In addition to Marro’s MVMMA teammates Kahler and Kennedy fighting on the fight card, Holmes will have at least three other fighters participating on this card.

The talented musician and experienced fighter explained what challenges he believes Pereira will present to him in their matchup. The modest fighter also shared his thoughts on what challenges he will present to his opponent.
