Vanessa Demopoulos talks unexpected short-notice UFC opportunity against JJ Aldrich

Vanessa Demopoulos (6-3) discusses her UFC debut against JJ Aldrich (9-4) at UFC Fight Night on Aug. 28. Vanessa also talked about getting the call last Friday from her manager, training with Aldrich’s original opponent Tracey Cortez and why getting signed was somewhat unexpected.
“I didn’t know it was a possibility, to be honest with you. That’s because I am a 115er and I because I did have a fight booked in LFA as a co-main event. I knew that the Contender Series was coming up, I know that there were other girls that were probably in line. I, in my heart always stayed ready hoping, but yeah it wasn’t expected.”
