“Jacare” Souza hasn’t seen a win since 2018. Dropping his last 3 outings along with several canceled bouts, Jacare is desperately in need of a win, with his job potentially being on the line.
Across the cage from the living MMA legend will be the young, hungry DWCS alumni, André Muniz. Currently riding a 6 fight win streak, Muniz takes a significant step up in competition when he takes on the submission ace, Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza.

Round 1: A slight feeling out process and the fighters exchange leg kicks. Muniz goes high with a head kick and begins to utilize his reach to keep Jacare on the end of his punches. Jacare doubles up on his jab and switches levels for a takedown. Jacare secures Muniz against the fence and scoops his legs from under him. Jacare stays standing overtop looking to land heavy and Muniz gets back to his feet. Muniz is able to get Jacare to the ground momentarily. Jacare bounces back up and escapes a body lock. Both fighters trade briefly and Muniz quickly switches levels once again for another sneaky takedown. Muniz gets to work immediately looking to advance position. Jacare scrambles to his feet as Muniz secures Jacare’s back, looking for the neck. Jacare attempts to dump Muniz as Muniz transitions to an armbar. An audible snap is heard as the referee sees a clear break from the submission and immediately intervenes calling a halt to this contest.
