Andrea Lee looking to finish Natalia Silva at UFC 292
Andrea Lee has been around the block in her UFC career, but at UFC 292, Lee will be experiencing something she hasn’t seen in years.
UFC 292 will be held in Boston, Mass. and for Lee it will be the first time she’s been to the northeastern part of the United States since her amateur career.
While the travel and seeing fun things maybe apart of some of the perks of being a professional athlete, Lee is headed to the northeast for business and her main objective is leave Boston with a much needed win.
Lee is coming off back-to-back losses and in her last fight, she was on the losing end of a split decision loss to Maycee Barber.
Losing split decision is a running theme for Lee in UFC career as its happened to her three times.
As a veteran of the sport, Lee knows its apart of the sport and while it can be frustrating she knows she has to shake it off and come back better her next time out and that’s what she’s planning to do at UFC 292.
When Lee steps inside of the octagon at UFC 292, she’ll be taking on Natalia Silva and Lee is familiar with Silva as her teammates Victoria Leonardo fought Silva back in May and lost the fight by way of a first round stoppage.
The result wasn’t what Leonardo or Lee wanted to see happen, but the this time around the team in Louisiana is confident this time they’ll get a win.
Not only is Lee confident in her ability to get the win, but with so many split decision losses, she doesn’t want the fight to go to the judges so look for Lee to come out with a little extra fire power as she wants to get a finish at UFC 292.
Ahead of the fight, Lee spoke with MyMMANews to discuss the UFC 292 matchup with Silva, bouncing back from a tough loss, visiting the northeast and being a mom.
