The UFC has been on an absolute tear with shows taking place week after week. Tonight, Saturday, November 7th, proves to be no different. Live from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, NV. Two contenders collide at UFC Fight Night: Santos vs. Teixeira.

Light heavyweight title contenders Thiago Santos and Glover Texeira face off in the main event of the evening. With the co-main event of the evening featuring longtime UFC veteran and former champion, Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski taking on hard-hitting Tanner “The Bulldozer” Boser.

In the co-main event of the evening, Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski enters the UFC octagon for the 33rd time in his professional career and 20 years since originally joining the promotion. Although the Belarusian superstar has competed in multiple organizations throughout his career. He’s been a staple in the UFC since UFC 28: High Stakes which took place in November of 2000. Arlovski enters this bout coming off of a win in March and is 2-4 in his last 6 outings.

Tanner “The Bulldozer” Boser has only tasted defeat once in the octagon in his 4 bouts in the promotion. Coming into this bout on a two fight win streak, Boser is looking to make the best of his opportunity fighting a UFC legend and climbing up the rankings in the process.

Round 1:

This bout begins and starts with a feeling-out process as neither fighter want to make an early mistake. Andrei Arlovski checks a leg kick and fires a counter jab. Tanner Boser is working his angles and throws several successful leg kicks. Arlovski shoots another punch upstairs that misses its mark. “The Pitbull” fires a head kick that is blocked. Arlovski throws a leg kick. Boser returns with a leg kick of his own. Arlovski commits to a head kick, spinning into a back fist that misses its mark. Arlovski continues looking for the highlight reel walk-off, firing another head kick, resetting, and throwing a sidekick to the head, that also misses. Boser works his solid kicks in at every turn to score. . With 10 seconds left, Arlovski lands an overhand right that stuns Boser as the bell sounds.

Round 2:

Arlovski throws a leg kick. Boser returns the favor with his own leg kick. Arlovski fires yet another leg kick and storms in with a punch barrage. Both fighters continue to exchange leg kicks, tentative to commit to punches. Both fighters exchange punches back and forth, mixing in leg kicks to offset the other. Arlovski lands a 1-2. Boser follows with a leg kick and makes his way inside to land bombs. Both fighters take turns throwing limited combinations. They finally clash with 40 seconds left. Both are firing I’ll intentioned punches in the pocket and retreat. Arlovski lands a kick to the body. Boser counters by stepping inside to let his hands go as Arlovski times a spinning back fist that lands flush to close the second round.

Round 3:

Arlovski leads with a teep upstairs to the head. Arlovski blitzes forward with punches with nothing significant landing. Boser uses his heavy leg kicks to work his way inside and fires 2 vicious left hooks that miss their mark. Arlovski misses an attempted head kick that’s blocked. Boser throws a spinning back fist that Arlovski easily sees and stays away. Arlovski pressures forward with a punch onslaught, looking to put the stamp in the final round. “The Pitbull” is touching his mark but not landing cleanly. Boser stays active with his hands but is just short of his mark. With two minutes left Boser is landing leg kicks it will. Arlovski maintains a strong jab, setting up his crisp, technical savvy punches. He lands a stiff straight right on Boser, hurting Boser. Arlovski doesn’t follow up after having his opponent hurt momentarily. Boser recovers and marches on, continuing his leg kick onslaught. Boser closes the show with an overhand that misses its mark upstairs as Arlovski raises his hands at the bell.
