Arman Tsarukyan vs. Renato Moicano headlines upcoming UFC Fight Night card

An exceptional lightweight bout between top-15 ranked contenders Arman Tsarukyan and Renato Moicano will headline an upcoming UFC Fight Night card.

MMA Meta was the first to report the Tsarukyan vs. Moicano bout. The fight is expected to headline a UFC Fight Night card on April 29 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Tsarukyan (19-3) is the No. 8 ranked lightweight fighter in the UFC. The 26-year-old contender joined the UFC back in 2019 and he has a 6-2 record in the Octagon so far. In his last fight, Tsarukyan defeated Damir Ismagulov to bounce back from a close decision loss to Mateusz Gamrot last year. He also holds notable UFC wins over the likes of Joel Alvarez, Matt Frevola, and Olivier Aubin-Mercier. His UFC debut was a decision loss to current lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

Moicano (17-5-1) joined the UFC back in 2014 and he has a 9-5 overall record in the promotion so far. The 33-year-old Brazilian has defeated some big names such as Brad Riddell, Alexander Hernandez, Cub Swanson, Calvin Kattar, and Jeremy Stephens over the years while fighting some of the top lightweights in the world over the years. It’s worth noting that six of his nine UFC victories have come by way of rear-naked choke submission, which is his signature move. Moicano has been asking for a step up in competition for a while now, and the UFC has granted him his wish with a top-10 ranked opponent.

Overall, this Tsarukyan vs. Moicano fight should be a very exciting match between two talented lightweights. Look for Tsarukyan to be the betting favorite for this fight, but you can’t count out Moicano given the improvements that he has made to his game over the last couple of years.

Who do you think wins this lightweight bout between Arman Tsarukyan and Renato Moicano?
