Art of War Cage Fighting kicks off WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philly
There’s no bigger professional wrestling event on the planet than WrestleMania.
This year, the 40th annual WrestleMania will take place as a two-night event on April 6 and 7, 2024, at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
While WrestleMania 40 will be a massive event for the City of Brotherly Love, one lifelong pro wrestling fan will host a professional mixed martial arts event from the nearby LIVE! Casino and Hotel in Philadelphia, illustrating his love and passion for the sports entertainment and combat sports industries.
Art of War Cage Fighting promoter Mike Bickings will bring his AOW 35 show to the event center at LIVE!, and there may even be a pro wrestling star of the past or present in the audience to take in the action.
“I’m glad we’re the day before Mania,” Bickings said. “I’ve been watching wrestling since I was a kid. I’ve borrowed a bit of AOW’s business plan from WWE. So, Friday night we remind Philly who the kings of regional MMA are. Then Saturday and Sunday, me and the boys order some pizza and wings and watch WWE. It’s going to be the perfect weekend!”
