Austin Vanderford draws PFL veteran Chris Curtis at Bellator 251 on Nov. 5
Austin Vanderford is getting his next test inside the Bellator cage.
First reported by ESPN, Vanderford draws a 30-fight veteran in Chris Curtis at Bellator 251 on Nov. 5. The event will air on CBS Network, from the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
Vanderford last competed almost a year ago. He most recently defeated Grachik Bozinyan by unanimous decision at Bellator 234 in November 2019.
Vanderford is unbeaten under the Bellator banner at 2-0 since debuting for the promotion in August 2019. He opened up with a second-round TKO against Joseph Creer at Bellator 225.
Curtis is coming off a tough stretch after winning just one bout in his last three. In his last outing, Curtis finished Darren Smith Jr. via fourth-round TKO at Fight Night 12 in January 2019.
The victory snapped a three-fight losing streak inside the Professional Fight League cage. He is a former PFL welterweight tournament semifinalist in 2019.
Curtis is also a veteran of Dana White’s Contender Series, finishing Sean Lally by third-round TKO in June 2018. Curtis will be moving up to middleweight in his Bellator debut against Vanderford.
