Baddest Man on the Planet, Warren, crowned Bellator interim bantamweight champion
Self-proclaimed ‘Baddest Man on the Planet,’ Joe Warren overcame an eye injury dealt by the hand of opponent, Rafael Silva, to win the final three rounds of the five-round Bellator bantamweight interim championship bout, May 2, at the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, N.J.
Silva replaced champion Eduardo Dantas who sustained an injury and had to be pulled from the fight. Silva won the first two rounds of the contest but Warren used his conditioning and wrestling prowess to take home the gold. Depending how long Dantas is out, Warren’s next bout might be against the champion in a unification bout.
