BCM Promotions Fight Night XI results
BCM Promotions held Fight Night XI at Fairhaven Hall at the Richland County Fairgrounds in Mansfield, Ohio on Saturday night, and the event featured 16 amateur bouts.
In the main event, Darryl Booker (7-4) claimed the light heavyweight title with a second-round key lock submission over Will Baxter (6-4). After Baxter started with a flurry of punches, Booker hung tough and eventually used his grappling to gain the advantage. In the second round, he landed a takedown and eventually transitioned to mount before locking in the submission to force the tap. Booker has now won four of his last five bouts, with three of those wins coming via submission.
In the co-main event, Alonzo Turner (8-1) moved to 3-0 on the year, as he picked up his sixth win in a row with a third-round guillotine choke victory over Nick Walls (6-6). Tuner used his wrestling against the game Walls through two rounds, and it was Walls who looked for the takedown in the third. But Turner grabbed his neck and forced the tap. After the bout Turner announced that he’ll be turning pro in the near future.
In the featherweight division, James Haley (6-5) moved his record to 3-0 on the year, as it took him just 53 seconds to lock in a guillotine choke to force the tap from Malcolm Jackson (3-3). After the win, he took to the mic and called for a title opportunity.
Immortal Martial Arts product Nate Doss (1-0) sucked the air out of the building when he upset 19-year-old hometown favorite Zane Finley (1-1), using his wrestling to nullify any offense and eventually locking in a rear naked choke to force the tap late in the third round.
