Bellator 238 weigh-in results - Julia Budd vs. Cris Cyborg

Bellator 238 salaries: Budd cashes $100k more than Cyborg, no other big earners

Bellator 238 went down on Saturday night in the Inglewood, California at The Forum where the women’s featherweight title was on the line. There, Julia Budd was looking to defend the belt against Cris Cyborg who was making her promotional debut after fighting out her contract in the UFC.

Ultimately, it was Cyborg who got her hand raised as she TKO’d Budd in the fourth round. With the win, she became the first person to win titles in Strikeforce, Invicta, UFC, and Bellator. But, she still made $100k less than Budd in guaranteed money.

What else is surprising is that the headliners where the only two fighters to bank $100k plus. With the likes of Darrion Cadwell only making $25,000, and Sergio Pettis making $30,000.

Although the salaries are revealed, Bellator does allow fighters to put sponsors on their banners and shorts where they make a lot more money. So, for Pettis for example, it is likely he cashed a lot more money but only $30,000 was revealed. Meanwhile, for Cyborg, it was revealed she had an incentive-based contract with finish bonuses and others so she too will cash more.

Here are the Bellator 238 salaries revealed by the commission (via MMA Fighting).
