Bellator 260 went down Friday, June 11th live from Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. I spoke with Marina Mokhnatkina and Lucas Brennan after their respective victories broadcasted on Showtime.

Mokhnatkina garnered a unanimous decision win over ranked featherweight competitor Amanda Bell.
Brennan secured a D’Arce Choke less than two minutes into the opening frame of his prizefight against Matthew Skibicki.
Marina Mokhnatkina excerpt
I’m wondering how important it is for Marina to represent Sambo in Bellator MMA.
“The best fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov, Fedor Emelianenko, they all use Sambo in their fights and I’m proud to to be using that style. Tell people back home that I’m fighting overseas and I’m bringing that skill. And that nation closer to overseas in the United States.”
Lucas Brennan excerpt
I had seen some stories heading into this one where you were saying you were wanting more of an active schedule. You were just saying you want a bit of time to recover but would you want a quick turnaround?
I mean you got a pretty quick victory tonight. So I imagine it could be facilitated.
“I mean I’m definitely healthy for a quick turnaround. I’m never opposed to it. I’ve been in camp since Thanksgiving. I’ve been on a very intense diet since the weekend of Thanksgiving. So you know I want to take a minute to let my body recover. I have quite a handful of injuries that I’m just kind of nursing, and you know I’m grateful to make it through the weekend.”
“You know that it was so quick and relatively harmless. Yeah, I’m not opposed to a quick turnaround. But I would like a minute to just kind of get my body back up to where I’d like it to be. Be more a little more comfortable there.”
