Bellator 275 Preview Show with Mike Pendleton and Andy Stevenson
Bellator MMA returns this weekend with an Irish-heavy fight card at Bellator 275 with a middleweight title fight main event when champion Gegard Mousasi faces undefeated challenger, Austin Vanderford. Earlier this week the card suffered a loss when it was announced Peter Queally was forced to withdraw from his fight against Kane Mousah due to injury, but Leah McCourt vs Sinead Kavanagh would be bumped to the co-main event slot.
With the lineup finalized, Mike Pendleton and Andy Stevenson of both MyMMANews and Severe MMA sat down for a preview show podcast to talk all things Bellator 275. The guys have an extended conversation about the co-main event feature between McCourt and Kavanagh, which is being described as one of the biggest fights in Irish MMA history, and undoubtedly the biggest female Irish MMA fight of all time.
In 2021 at Bellator 270, the standard was set for how fight crowds should be when the promotion featured Queally in a lightweight title fight in Dublin, Ireland. Reflecting back on the night of Bellator 270, which was heralded as one of the best nights in combat sports of 2021, Andy Stevenson mentions how the atmosphere should be similar going into Bellator 275 on Friday night.
