Bellator x Rizin 2 Live Results
Bellator MMA and RIZIN Fighting Federation put together another event in Japan. The Lightweight World Grand Prix bout may be off but that does not mean fight fans are being robbed of any fireworks.
There was no shortage of combat sports on Saturday night, but with co-promotion being rare this event was a treat and could lay the groundwork for the future of MMA. The main event bout between Patricky “Pitbull” Freire and Roberto de Souza had Pitbull use his striking to nullify any grappling de Souza would try to force. Targeting the legs of de Souza, by round three the leg kicks took their toll leading to a TKO victory for Pitbull in round three.

As for the inaugural flyweight title bout between Kyoji Horiguchi and Makoto ‘Shinryu’ Takahashi, the bout came to an unfortunate end with an accidental eye poke from Horiguchi. Takahashi was unable to continue and the bout was deemed a “no-contest” with no champion crowned.
