Ben Coyle is one of the hardest working bodies in 302 BJJ/Muay Thai. He prides himself on his grittiness, tenacity and work ethic and that’s exactly what shows when he steps inside of the cage for a nights work. He’s tough, strong, powerful, and hungry to get back in the win column. Currently sitting at 4-1, coming off of his lone loss, Coyle is looking to swing the momentum back in his favor in a violent display at Cowboy Fight Series 3, taking place in Sterling, Virginia in less than a week.
Standing across from him on fight night will be late replacement, Dylan Osterman out of High Intensity MMA in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Osterman, also coming off of a loss takes the edge in experience (6-4), however, the Pennsylvania native, Coyle acknowledges that his opponent, indeed has more cage time, but says “It’s not always the same down south.” (Insinuating competition levels he’s faced).
“I’m coming out there to finish you” – Coyle boldly states about his plans for his opposition.
Coyle has faced a plethora of top tier challengers for his late Stellar Fights Bantamweight Title that was taken away from him in a tough back and forth bout with Matt Hicks (also competing on CFS3) last April. Coyle, however, is thoroughly confident he’ll bounce back to get the job done on the night, finalizing with “When it comes down to it, I fight tough dudes in here (302) every night!”
The two are set to collide in an agreed catchweight of 127lbs and will be both fighters first attempt at the lower weight class.
Although, Coyle is a gentlemen outside of the cage and offers his sincerest thanks to Osterman for stepping up to the challenge, Coyle has his unique way of expressing his gratitude stating, “For one, I’d like to say I appreciate you taking the fight man, and saving my fight. We’re a week out and I REALLY didn’t think anybody would be able to find me a replacement so props to you. Thanks, but I’m still going to have to break your face!”
