The March 13th UFC fight night that this bout is to take place on does not have an announced location as of this juncture. Leon Edwards vs. Khamzat Chimaev headlines this card, as of this writing.
This reads like a classic crossroads bout between established veteran and surging contender looking for a name victory.
Rothwell vs Lins
Rothwell is a well-traveled warrior of over 50 professional bouts and is looking to return to his winning ways here. Ben Rothwell’s last outing saw him lose via unanimous decision to Marcin Tybura at an October UFC fight night.
Prior to that Tybura loss, Rothwell had put together back to back victories over Stefan Struve and Ovince St. Preux.
Ben Rothwell has notched significant career wins over names like Josh Barnett, Roy Nelson, Ricco Rodriguez, Alistair Overeem, and Brandon Vera to name a few.
He has been a UFC stalwart for over eleven years; debuting against Cain Velasquez at UFC 104. But Rothwell also has notable experience in Affliction, KOTC, M-1, and IFL.
This upcoming contest will mark the twentieth career MMA bout for Philipe Lins.
