Veteran knockout artist Benji "The Razor" Radach returns to the cage May 15

Benji Radach, former UFC fighter, dead at 45

Longtime professional mixed martial artist Benji Radach has passed away at age 45. Radach’s brother Beau announced the news Tuesday on Facebook. As of press time no cause of death was revealed.

Radach signed to the UFC in 2002 following a perfect 10-0 start to his career. During his promotional debut at UFC 37 Radach defeated Steve Berger with a 27-second knockout, but the result was overturned to a no contest when replay showed he held the fence.

He then returned approximately one month later at UFC 37.5 and defeated Nick Serra by unanimous decision. In September 2002, he lost to Sean Sherk by TKO due to a cut and it was the final time he would fight with the UFC.

Benji Radach fought 24 times in professional MMA from 2001-15 with fights in the UFC, Strikeforce, Elite XC, Bellator, IFL, and others. His final fight came in 2015 when he suffered a loss to Ben Reiter in Bellator.
