UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig Betting Predictions

Author: Shaun Stack

All eyes will be on Las Vegas this weekend for UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig. The two veteran Middleweights will clash in a five-round main event that caps off a 13-fight card.

You can place a bet on either fighter in the main event using the top MMA sportsbooks. Allen is riding a five-fight winning streak and is a sizeable favorite over Craig. Both fighters are talented grapplers with 13 submission wins each in their respective careers.

Continue reading to see the latest Allen vs. Craig betting odds and predictions. I will break down the odds for every fight on the main card of this exciting UFC event so you can bet with low deposit betting sites.

Brendan Allen vs. Paul Craig Betting Odds

  • Brendon Allen (-425)
  • Paul Craig (+325)

Brendon Allen (22-5) has won five straight fights, with four wins via submission during that stretch. Allen (-425) is a heavy favorite this weekend to beat Paul Craig (+325) in their main event fight. Craig (17-6-1) is just 3-2 in his last five fights, and 9-6-1 in his UFC career overall.

Brendon Allen (-425)

There is no denying that Brendon Allen has emerged as a rising star in the UFC Middleweight division in recent years. He has won five fights in a row heading into Saturday’s main event against Paul Craig.

Bovada Sportsbook has Allen listed at -425 to extend his winning streak this weekend. Given his recent success, it is easy to see why Allen is such a heavy favorite in the eyes of the oddsmakers. But Craig will not be an easy opponent for Allen.

Allen’s best skill is his grappling, which has resulted in 13 submission wins in his career. However, Craig is also a talented submission artist. So, Allen will not have the edge on the ground like he normally does in his fights.

An underrated part of Allen’s game is his striking ability. He has 5 KO wins in his career, all of which have happened in the first round.

Paul Craig (+325)

The other half of the main event for this UFC Fight Night event is Paul Craig. The Scottish MMA veteran is listed at +325 to get the win this weekend.

Craig has struggled in his recent appearances, going just 1-2 in his last three fights. Prior to his recent skid, though, Craig had a five-fight winning streak. Like Allen, Craig’s submission skills have accounted for most of his career wins.

While his submission skills are top-notch, Craig has had less success on the feet. He has 4 KO wins, but Craig also has 4 KO losses as a pro.

Despite the betting odds, Craig cannot be counted out in this fight. His skills, especially on the ground, should allow him to take advantage of any openings that are available. He has also stopped the “hot” fighter before, including defeating a then-undefeated Jamahal Hill at UFC 263.

Allen vs. Craig Prediction

The Middleweight showdown between Brendan Allen and Paul Craig headlines this Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card. Craig won his first fight at 185 after dropping down from Light Heavyweight and is looking to go back-to-back.

However, I think that Allen will ultimately be too much for Craig to handle. Both fighters are ranked in the top 15 of the Middleweight division, but this is Allen’s natural weight class.

Allen could put himself to contend for the title if he can beat a veteran like Craig. I think he will win this battle of talented grapplers. His advantage on the feet should be enough for him to secure the victory.

As talented as both men are at grappling, I do not think either fighter wants to risk being submitted. Allen has had more success on the feet, and that could prove to be the difference maker in this fight. I would bet on Allen (-425) to get his hand raised in this one.

More UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig Predictions

Two of the best submission artists in the UFC will square off in the main event this weekend. But before Allen and Craig step into the Octagon, there are five other fights on the main card. Here are the rest of my predictions for the main card of UFC Fight Night: Allen vs. Craig.

Michael Morales (-285) vs. Jake Matthews (+225)

The co-main event is a Welterweight fight between Michael Morales (15-0) and Jake Matthews (19-6). Morales is listed as a -285 favorite for this bout.

Despite being just 24 years old, Morals has already rattled off 15 straight wins to start his MMA career. His striking skills have proven to be too much for most opponents, resulting in 11 KO wins so far for Morales. He will have a seven-inch reach advantage in this fight.

Matthews, on the other hand, has struggled as of late, going just 2-2 in his last four fights. Half of his career losses have come via submission, and he has only been knocked out once as a pro.

I believe Morales will add to his winning streak this weekend. His reach advantage should allow him to put his striking skills to use. As long as he can keep the fight standing, Morales should have the edge.

Chase Hooper (-220) vs. Jordan Leavitt (+180)

Another exciting fight scheduled for this event is the Lightweight fight between Chase Hooper (12-3-1) and Jordan Leavitt (11-2). Hooper (-220) is a moderate favorite in the latest UFC Fight Night odds. Both fighters are 3-2 in their last five appearances, and a win could put them closer to breaking into the top 15.

All three of Hooper’s career losses have come in his last six fights. Two of those losses were by decision, but Steve Garcia knocked him out in October 2022. Hooper will have the size and reach advantage, but that may not help him if this fight goes to the ground.

Leavitt’s best asset has been his grappling skills, which have secured him six submission wins. Hooper is 5-0 in fights decided by submissions. However, I think that will change this weekend, and Leavitt will pick up the win.

Payton Talbott (-850)  vs. Nick Aguirre (+550)

The biggest favorite on the main card is Payton Talbott. He is listed at -850 to defeat Nick Aguirre (+550) in their Bantamweight matchup. Talbott is a perfect 6-0, while Aguirre (7-1) is coming off his first career loss.

Aguirre has had 10 months to recover from his loss to Dan Argueta in his UFC debut. Assuming he is not rusty from a lack of activity, he could be in a great position to pull off a huge upset.

Talbott’s striking has earned him five KO wins in his young career, but Aguirre has 3 KO wins of his own. He also has four submission wins and will have a huge advantage if this fight goes to the ground. I believe Aguirre can hold his own on the feet, force this fight to the ground, and submit Talbott.

Luana Pinheiro (+200) vs. Amanda Ribas (-250)

The only two women fighting on the main card for this event are Luana Pinheiro (11-1) and Amanda Ribas (11-4). They are ranked nine and ten, respectively, as they head into Strawweight bout this weekend.

Ribas is the favorite despite going just 2-3 in her last five fights. Pinheiro has won nine consecutive fights, including seven in the first round. She earned her spot in the UFC with a first-round Ko win on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Another issue to consider is that Ribas is dropping down from Flyweight for this bout. That extra 10 pounds can make a big difference and could affect Ribas’s performance. I think Pinheiro will get the upset win and improve her winning streak to 10.

Jonny Parsons (+195) vs. Uros Medic (-240)

Uros Medic and Jonny Parsons are also scheduled to face off this weekend in Las Vegas. Parsons (+195) is 9-3 in his pro career, but he is listed as a +195 underdog for this Welterweight fight. Medic (2-40) is 9-1 and looking for this third straight win.

Both fighters have proven that they have knockout power, with seven KO wins each. However, Medic has never been knocked out, while Parsons has a pair of KO losses. Medic also has two submission wins, but Parsons does not have any.

Parsons earned an impressive KO win in his UFC debut. However, he is still inexperienced at this level. This will be Medic’s fifth UFC fight, making him a veteran compared to Parsons.

So far, Medic has appeared to be the more well-rounded fighter. I believe that will hold true in this fight and that he will defeat Parsons on Saturday.
