Bisping believes Conor McGregor-Jose Aldo 2 should headline UFC 244

Michael Bisping has an idea of what should headline the UFC’s annual trip to Madison Square Garden in November. Last year, the promotion struggled to find the main event, so the UFC Hall of Famer believes Conor McGregor should rematch Jose Aldo in the main event.

“That’s the fight to make [McGregor vs. Aldo II] if I’m honest. Conor’s gotta get back in the winning circle. If he fights Khabib, more than likely that’s not gonna happen. Could he catch him with a good shot and rock him and follow it up? Yeah, of course he could, Bisping said on his Believe You Me Podcast. “But more than likely Khabib’s gonna take his best shot, he’s gonna take him down and we’re gonna have a replay of what happened last time.”

Bisping also believes that should McGregor get back into the win column. If he does just that, it will make him a title contender once again, as he could welcome Aldo to the lightweight division. The Brazilian has talked about moving up for quite some time and both are looking to get back into their winning ways.

“Aldo and McGregor, the buildup to that fight was huge. It ended amazingly in 13 seconds and well done to McGregor. I think people would love to see that because a lot of people feel that Aldo could do better in the rematch. And that’s definitely a very winnable fight for Conor. Of course, we saw what happened the first time, the second time who knows what’s gonna happen? But it’s a very winnable fight.”

However, it seems unlikely this fight will happen as Conor McGregor has been clamoring for a shot against Nurmagomedov again. But, if Bisping was a matchmaker he would make the Irishman fight Aldo where if he wins he can get another title shot.
