Headlining the event is a 175 lb encounter between bare knuckle stud Mike Perry and former Bellator & UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez. Perry had gone 3-0 in BKFC since leaving the UFC in 2021, 4-0 if you count the boxing match later that year where he and his opponent both wore MMA gloves. Alvarez on the other hand had just won his bare-knuckle debut against Chad Mendes earlier this year in April.

Though our co-main event of the evening between UFC veterans Ben Rothwell and Todd Duffee fell through, we also had two title bouts in the feature fight and co-main event, as well as the BKFC debut of Jeremy Stephens, who faced off with fellow UFC vet Jimmie Rivera in a main card slot tonight.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
