Bobby Green Out: Donald Cerrone to face Jim Miller at UFC 276
Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone will step in for Bobby Green on nine days’ notice to take on fellow UFC vet, Jim Miller.
News broke today that Green is out of his UFC 276 bout against Miller due to undisclosed reasons. Luckily, Cerrone answered the call and is able and willing to step in.
Cerrone (36-16-0, 2 NC) was originally scheduled to meet Joe Lauzon at UFC 274 and again at UFC Fight Night: Kattar vs. Emmett. At UFC 274, Cerrone fell ill and could not compete and just last weekend, Lauzon injured his knee and had to pull from their rescheduled bout. Now, over a year since he last competed, Cerrone will finally get his chance to compete in his 55th professional bout.
At 39 years old, Cerrone has competed under the UFC banner since UFC 126, which took place in 2011. Since then, he has defeated top talents such as Edson Barboza, Eddie Alvarez, Benson Henderson, and Matt Brown.
Miller (24-16-0, 1 NC) has also collected victories over top lightweights. On his list of victories is current lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, Yancy Medeiros, Joe Lauzon, and Clay Guida. At 38 years old, Miller is currently riding a two-fight win having defeated Erick Gonzalez and Nikolas Motta, both by knockout.

UFC 276 will not be the first meeting between Cerrone and Miller. In 2014, the two squared off for the first time and saw Cerrone come out victorious after landing a highlight reel head kick.
In nine days, Miller will look to avenge his loss to Cerrone and collect his 35th professional victory, while Cerrone will look to get back in the win column and put his 55th bout in the books.
