Boxing: Terence Crawford vs. Egidijus Kavaliauskas Results
After Clash at the Dunes, the boxing world has now turned it’s attention to pound for pound top three fighter, Terence Crawford.
Crawford returns to the cage after a win over Britain’s Amir Khan in April. He takes on Lithuania’s Egidijus Kavaliauskas. Kavaliauskas comes into the fight 21-0-1 with 17 knockouts. On the line is Terence Crawford’s WBO World Welterweight title. While Kavaliauskas is not as well known, he has quick hands and decent knockout power.
The co-main event is a bout between two of the hottest young prospects in boxing as Teofimo Lopez gets his first crack at a World Title as he battles Richard Commey for the IBF Welterweight strap. If victorious, Lopez intends to call out pound for pound best, Vasyl Lomachenko.
Also on the card is Ireland’s Michael Conlan. The Irish boxing prospect takes on Vladimir Nikita. There is a bit of bad blood between the two as Nikita defeated Conlan in the Olympics, eliminating the Irishman, in a decision that was clear as day a win for Conlan. Conlan is now 12-0 as a professional and Nikita is 3-0.
