Brandon Moreno calls out Deiveson Figueiredo for the rematch and flyweight BMF honor

Will Brandon Moreno get the rematch?

It has been one month since one of the best fights UFC fights of 2020 went down. Flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo took on Brandon Moreno on a month’s notice and it was a battle from start to finish. Figueiredo was looking to secure his second title defense since winning the title earlier in the year but Moreno put up a fight and almost stole the belt away that night. The fight ended in a majority draw which meant that Figueiredo retained his title but the fans and both fighters seemed to be asking for more. Now four weeks removed from the fight Moreno took to social media to remind the champ that they have unfinished business to attend to.

“Hey @daico_deusdaguerra I heard you want to be the flyweight BMF, but I want to ask you how you want to be a BMF if you can’t beat a little Mexican kid, I don’t want to talk sh-t about you brother, you know, not my style, I just want to remember you have unfinished business with me,” Moreno wrote. “I know you don’t want to see me again in a long time 😅but tell me what kind of champion you are?
PD.- you need to fight if you want to buy more of those fu–ing ugly clothes you wear. @wallidjfc translate, please. End of the message. !!”

Figueiredo might need that reminder because he has been seen recently on his own Instagram calling out former champion Henry Cejudo.

“Hey Cejudo, look at me fatso I’m going to knock you out!!!! My middle name is “Danger,” Figueiredo wrote as a caption on a video call-out.

Many believe that the first fight between these two men was the fight of the year, so it goes without saying that a rematch would be wanted and would also be profitable to the UFC. Dana White has expressed interest in running it back, even though former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt is waiting to make his flyweight debut and wants the title shot.
