UFC 255 went down on the 22nd of November at the Apex Facility in Las Vegas, Nevada, for the fourth-straight week the UFC held fights at the Apex.
Top of the bill, is a flyweight title fight between current UFC Flyweight Champion Deiveson Figueiredo (19-1) and the No. 4 ranked Alex Perez (24-5), in addition to this, Perez is a replacement for former UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt (12-3), who was getting awarded a automatic shot at the title in his Bantamweight debut.
In the co-main event is another flyweight title fight, this one for the women’s belt, as Women’s UFC dominant Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko (19-3) aims to secure a fourth-straight defence  of her title against the No. 3 ranked Jennifer Maia (18-6-1).
Finishing off the prelims is a pivotal flyweight bout between two rising contenders in Brandon Moreno and Brandon Royval. The winner could earn a shot at the title with a win under there belt.
Moreno is perfect in his last four fights, which started with a fourth-round TKO stoppage win over Maikel Perez at LFA 69 that lead to a quick turnaround after getting the call to the UFC again after being released from the promotion in 2018.
Royval recently improved to 2-0 inside the octagon with a second-round submission win over Kai Kara-France at UFC 253 in the event’s “Fight of the Night.” “Raw Dawg” submitted former title challenger Tim Elliott in his promotional debut at UFC on ESPN 9 in May and is currently riding a four-fight winning streak, at this moment in his career. The former LFA flyweight champion is now ranked No. 7 in the flyweight division and a win here could see him fight for the belt next.

Moreno holds the left arm of Royval whilst in a scramble and the Mexican capitalises on it and lands heavy hammer fists. “Get out of there” states Marc Goddard, Royval is trying to move and he can’t, it looks like Royval has sustained a injury, as he echos in pain with a grimace of pain in his face. Moreno is still landing hammer fists, the referee waves it off, Marc doesn’t want to see no more and he stops the bout.
