Adam Shelley vs James Power set for Cage Warriors Belfast

Breaking: Adam Shelley vs James Power set for Cage Warriors Belfast

A lightweight fight between Ireland’s Adam Shelley (2-1) and England’s James Power (3-0) is set for Cage Warriors 140. Multiple sources with knowledge of the matchup confirmed the news to MyMMANews.com. The Belfast card, which marks the promotion’s first event in Ireland since November 2019, is scheduled to take place on Saturday, June 25 in the SSE Arena.

Dubliner Shelley enters the contest fresh off the back of a dominant promotional debut at Cage Warriors 135 earlier this month. The Team KF fighter thoroughly overwhelmed Steven Hooper en route to a dominant 2nd-round TKO.

Power hails from Wakefield, West Yorkshire but trains out of Atherton Submission Wrestling in Manchester. While the Englishman boasts an unblemished MMA record through 6 fights, none of Power’s prior opponents have registered a win in MMA, combined for an 0-4 record in total. Taking on his most difficult test to date in Shelley, Power will look to extend his 6-fight win streak in his Cage Warriors debut.

Cage Warriors 140 takes place on Saturday 25th June in Belfast. Fans can purchase tickets via this link, and the event will be broadcast live on UFC Fight Pass.
