Brian Shaw, a four-time World’s Strongest Man competition winner, will make his mixed martial arts debut at a tournament on Feb. 17, 2024, at Lusail Stadium in Qatar.  The announcement comes via Barbend.com, but no opponent has been announced for the event.

Regarded as one of the greatest strength athletes of all-time, Shaw won the 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2016 World’s Strongest Man, making him one of only five men to win the World’s Strongest Man four times or more.

In the gym, Shaw is credited with squatting 903 pounds, benching 535 pounds, and deadlifting 1,025 pounds (with straps).

The 41-year-old athlete posted a video of training session he did at the UFC Performance Institute with former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.
