Bryan Caraway charged with attempted theft of Miesha Tate’s ATV
According to the Tri-City Herald, former UFC fighter Bryan Caraway has been charged with insurance fraud after claiming an ATV that belonged to his ex-girlfriend and former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Miesha Tate.
Caraway allegedly forged a title on the 2015 Polaris RZR and put his name on it saying Tate had gifted it to him in the breakup. He then claimed, falsely, that the vehicle had been stolen. Caraway allegedly put insurance on the Polaris and then called a few days later for the insurance claim, a huge red flag. In the insurance claim, Caraway told the insurance agents that everything stole was worth $18,500.
Bryan Caraway Really Messing Up
In addition to insurance fraud, Caraway is facing charges for first degree theft. After Tate and he broke up in 2017, Caraway stole the ATV from Tate’s residence in Richland, Washington. Surveillance showed up in 2019 that it was actually Bryan Caraway himself stealing the ATV, which was located by Las Vegas police and returned to Tate.
Two weeks later, Bryan Caraway allegedly was caught on camera a second time from Tate’s property. Caraway also missed his court date. After missing the date, Caraway was placed on Washington State’s Office of the Insurance Commissioner’s Most Wanted list.
After being put on the list, Caraway called the Benton County Office and arranged a new date to appear in court. His new date is in March and his charges are making a false statement on fa vehicle title, false claims in excess of $1500, forgery, and first degree attempted theft.
In addition to Caraway, his brother is also charged with more charges according to the Tri-City Herald. His brother was accused of the same thing with a GMC Sierra that was repossessed by the bank.
