Bryce Mitchell injured, off Saturday’s UFC 288 fight card

“Thug Nasty” Bryce Mitchell will not be competing this Saturday on the UFC 288 fight card being held in Newark, New Jersey.

Scheduled to fight Movsar Evloev, the 28-year-old Mitchell was forced off the card today due to an undisclosed injury.

With Bryce Mitchell injured, Diego Lopes now faces the undefeated Russian in Evloev.

Mitchell was originally booked to fight Jonathan Pearce on this weekend’s card, but Pearce withdrew due to injury last month. He was looking to rebound from his first UFC loss, a second-round submission defeat to Ilia Topuria at UFC 282 in December.
