Bryce Mitchell vs. Movsar Evloev booked for upcoming UFC Fight Night card

Top-10 ranked featherweights Bryce Mitchell and Movsar Evloev have been booked for an upcoming UFC Fight Night card.

David Van Auken of Fight Bananas was the first to break the news of the Mitchell vs. Evloev fight. According to the scribe, the bout will take place at a UFC Fight Night card set for November 5 at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

@ThugnastyMMA vs. @MovsarUFC is booked for November 5th in Las Vegas in a pivotal featherweight matchup! @DavidVanAuken

It is unknown at this point in time what bout will headline the card, but the top contender in the running is a women’s strawweight bout between Amanda Lemos and Marina Rodriguez.

As for the Mitchell vs. Evloev booking, this is perfect matchmaking right here as Mitchell is the No. 9 ranked featherweight and Evloev is just one spot behind him at No. 10. Not only that, but both men are unbeaten in their MMA careers and both are 6-0 in the UFC.

Mitchell (15-0) is coming off of a lopsided decision win over Edson Barboza earlier this year where he proved he is among the featherweight division’s elite fighters. Just 27 years of age, Mitchell also holds notable UFC wins over the likes of Andre Fili and Charles Rosa. He has one of the best ground games in the division and it will be interesting to see how effective his grappling is when he steps into the Octagon on November 5 against Evloev.

Evloev (16-0) is coming off of a decision win over Dan Ige in his last fight. Prior to that, the 28-year-old Russian picked up notable wins over the likes of Hakeem Dawodu and Nik Lentz. He is an excellent fighter and a win over Mitchell would be huge for his career.

Who do you think wins this featherweight bout between Bryce Mitchell and Movsar Evloev?
