Buchecha gets new opponent for MMA debut at ONE: Revolution
Buchecha will still make his first MMA foray on Friday, September 24th. But it will be against a different opponent than anticipated.
Marcus “Buchecha” Almeida was set to make his mixed martial arts debut against Thomas Narmo until Narmo was forced to withdraw from the bout.
Almeida will instead take on Glory Kickboxing and ONE Championship veteran Anderson “Braddock” Silva at ONE: Revolution.

Buchecha‘s mixed martial arts arrival in the ONE Circle has been a highly anticipated journey.
A BJJ practitioner with a volume of accolades to the point where he is in the world record books. Almeida has captured multiple BJJ world titles and several ADCC medals against some of the best in the world.
He has done pretty much all one can do in submission grappling before redirecting his focuses to MMA.
Marcus Almeida had been training with American Kickboxing Academy earlier on in his transition towards caged combat. Nowadays, Buchecha is getting in work at American Top Team as his debut in the Circle is weeks away.
Buchecha
Silva has MMA wins by both TKO and submission. He looks to shake up the ONE heavyweight hierarchy in a big way by putting a halt to this highly buzzed-about debutant.
For the acclaimed standup artist, this marks Anderson “Braddock” Silva’s first mixed martial arts contest since 2018.
Buchecha has had multiple debut efforts lined up in ONE Championship which have fallen by the wayside. A pair of prizefights throughout the ONE on TNT series, including a bout against Reug Reug.
ONE: Revolution is a stacked event featuring three world championship bouts across multiple combat disciplines.
The heavyweight mixed martial arts contest with Buchecha vs Silva is certainly one of the more intriguing bouts on the card overall and goes down on the lead card portion of the event.
