FIRST CFFC EVENT TO AIR LIVE ON UFC FIGHT PASS TAKES PLACE FRIDAY, DEC. 14 FROM BORGATA HOTEL CASINO & SPA IN ATLANTIC CITY
THREE CFFC TITLE FIGHTS HEADLINE DEC. 14 CARD
Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) has announced a media rights agreement with UFC Fight Pass. The partnership kicks off on Friday, Dec. 14 as CFFC presents a live championship event from Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City.
CFFC’s first event on UFC Fight Pass will feature three championship fights. Unbeaten Atlantic City lightweight Cesar Balmaceda (5-0) will compete for the CFFC interim lightweight title, while featherweight champion Pat Sabatini (Bristol, Pa., 9-2) will defend his title against Da’Mon Blackshear (Fayetteville, N.C., 6-2). If that wasn’t enough, a CFFC bantamweight champion will be crowned when Alexander Keshtov (Krasnodar, Russia, 8-0) takes on Nurbergen Sharipov (Kazakhstan, 8-1).
Rising women’s strawweight star Miranda Granger (Everett, Wash., 4-0) battles Jamie Colleen (Philadelphia, Pa., 4-2) on one of the most loaded cards in CFFC history. Plus, UFC veteran and former CFFC welterweight champion Jonavin Webb (Marlton, N.J., 11-2) returns in search of his fourth straight victory as he takes on Hugh Pulley (St. Louis, Mo., 7-3).
Founded in 2006, CFFC has served as the breeding ground for some of the most exciting fighters in MMA. Stars who’ve fought in CFFC and gone on to compete inside the UFC’s hallowed Octagon include Anthony Smith, Jimmie Rivera, Aljamain Sterling, Kimbo Slice, Paul Felder, Jim Miller, Nick Catone, Lyman Good, Katlyn Chookagian, Shane Burgos and Jared Gordon.
“When we set out to be the gold standard in regional fight promotions, we knew we needed to be associated with the very best in the industry, so we’ve always had our sights set high on UFC Fight Pass,” said Rob Haydak, President of CFFC. “This is a huge opportunity for us and we look forward to delivering great fights in the years ahead on UFC Fight Pass. Our job and future as an organization is simple: make the best fights with the best prospects and help them become major stars of the future!”
“We have enjoyed a long and successful relationship with Rob Haydak and the team at CFFC, and we are excited to continue our partnership with a great event taking place at Borgata’s Event Center on December 14,” said Mike Woodside, Vice President of Marketing for Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. “With the announcement that this event will be carried live on UFC Fight Pass; it shows the incredible growth of the CFFC brand as they continue to develop into a top-flight developmental organization.”
More information about the CFFC-UFC Fight Pass partnership will be announced in the coming weeks, including live event dates for 2019.
