Cage Warriors 117 Adds Three Bouts to Trilogy Strikes Back
Cage Warriors 117 is the first card in the promotion’s trio of events called “The Trilogy Strikes Back.” The three cards, Cage Warriors 117, 118, and 119, start on December 10th and go for three days. They will take place in London at the York Hall and will be broadcast on UFC Fight Pass.
The first fight announced for CW117 is a title fight as Luke Shanks looks to defend his title against Jake Hadley. Shanks dominated former champion Samir Faiddine in the original Trilogy event in September. Hadley won his fight that night and called for a title shot and will receive that opportunity.
“With this win, I believe I will be thought of as the greatest flyweight ever from Europe, having beat 3 world champions and having 2 world titles to my name,” said Shanks, who is likely vying for a UFC call up with a win at CW117.

In addition to Shanks vs. Hadley, CW117 has two other confirmed fights on the card. First, Adam Amarasinghe (6-2) will take on Sam Creasey (12-3) who fought for a title recently. Amarasinghe is riding two great wins over Coner Hignett and Jake Bond. He hopes with a win over a former title challenger, he will get the next shot at the winner of Shanks and Hadley.
Also on the card, Nicolas LeBlond is set to fight Ireland’s Darren O’Gorman. LeBlond is taking on O’Gormon who is a jiu jitsu brown belt and a Muay Thai fighter turned MMA.
Cage Warriors 117 through 119 will take place the weekend of December 10th as mentioned earlier. Much like the first Trilogy, these three events will be held behind closed doors as well.
