Dan Hardy blasts Diego Sanchez after he calls him out: ‘I can’t help but feel bad laughing at you’

Dan Hardy has blasted Diego Sanchez after ‘The Nightmare’ called him out.

Sanchez took to Twitter recently to call for a legends fight and called out the likes of Demian Maia, Donald Cerrone, Dan Hardy, and Conor McGregor. Yet, for Hardy, he appears uninterested in the fight and blasted Sanchez for even issuing the callout.

“You’re a funny guy, @DiegoSanchezUFC… I can’t help but feel bad laughing at you though, when it’s clear that you need a serious psychological evaluation,” Dan Hardy responded on social media. “Was calling me out your own idea, or did you get help from that mystical yoga teacher guy that you keep in your pocket?”

Dan Hardy has not fought since 2012 when he defeated Amir Sadollah. Hardy was diagnosed with Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome in 2013 leaving him unable to fight. Yet, in 2018 the Englishman announced he was cleared to compete again. Then, in 2019 he said has joined the USADA testing pool. However, it is uncertain if he will ever fight again.

In his career, Hardy does have notable wins over Duane Ludwig, Daniel Weichel, and Mike Swick among others. He also fought Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title and lost by decision at UFC 111.

Diego Sanchez, meanwhile, was dominated by Jake Matthews at UFC 253 to lose by decision. Before that, he had got back into the win column after winning by DQ against Michel Pereira. In the fight before, he was dominated by Michael Chiesa at UFC 239. Heading into the fight at UFC 239, many thought Sanchez was on a career resurgence after he TKO’d Mickey Gall and dominated Craig White to win by decision.

Out of all his call outs, it is likely the Demian Maia one is most likely to happen. Both men have shown interest in it, and Maia has said he wants to fight another legend in his final fight.
