Caged Thunder 26 Results – Tyler Collins improves with submission victory

Caged Thunder 26 went down at Chapparells Event Center in Akron, Ohio on Saturday night, and the event featured 16 bouts.

The night was headlined by four pro bouts, with Tyler Collins stopping Brogan Endres with a rear naked choke submission in the first round of the main event.

Collins improved his record to 4-3, but he is 3-0 since returning to action last year after a hiatus of more than two years.

In the co-main event, Kobe Woodall rebounded from his first career loss to take a decision victory over J’Mar Moore.

Hunter Watt headlined an up-and-down night for the Route 250 Martial Arts team, as he picked up a unanimous decision over Melvin Harris to move to 2-0. Route 250 went 3-4 on the night.

KO Butler capped a 4-2 night from the team from Apex Fight Systems, as he finished Shane Lehman with a ground and pound TKO in the second round of the opening pro bout. The win helped put Apex atop the standings for the Caged Thunder Cup, a yearlong tournament between teams competing for the promotion.

On the amateur side of the card, Jeremy Riley evened his record at 3-3 with a highlight reel knockout, landing a straight right that dropped James Dennis to the canvas just 1:31 into the fight. Riley has now won three of four bouts after starting his career 0-2.

Brent Troyer moved up to 3-0 by winning a battle of unbeaten fighters, as he hopped on the back of Joe Wickline just seconds into the fight and eventually put him to sleep with a rear naked choke in just 41 seconds.

Competing in his fourth different weight class in four fights, 19-year-old Roman Parobek advanced his perfect record to 4-0 with a unanimous decision victory over veteran Nic Lute in a flyweight bout.

Jerad Patterson evened his record at 7-7 with a rear naked choke submission over former featherweight champion Luke McMurtry. Patterson has now won four of his last five bouts, with all of the wins coming via first round submission.

And perhaps the highlight of the night was a slam knockout from Jack Schaal, who needed just 21 seconds to improve to 2-0 with his finish of Tyler Triplett.
