HBO BOXING: Canelo Alvarez vs. Liam Smith results
Beginning at 9 p.m. EST, HBO pay-per-view went live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, as Canelo Alvarez challenged Liam Smith for the WBO junior middleweight title in the evening’s main event.
Although Alvarez (47-1-1, 33 KO) was the contender, he was the favorite to win over the champion, Smith, (23-0-1, 13 KO). And….. the bookies weren’t far off. Alvarez would go on to get a KO win in the ninth and become the new champion.
