CFFC 101: Nkuta vs. Diaz Live Results
Good afternoon fight fans, an early CFFC 101 took place from the Parx Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, and airing on UFC Fight Pass. Flyweight champion, Phumi Nkuta faced off against Miguel Junior Diaz in the main event. If you found yourself itching to watch fights this afternoon, MyMMANews had you covered with live results.
Diaz (3-1) was only notified three weeks ago about this title shot he could not turn down according to CFFC. Short notice always seems like a disadvantage but Diaz is always training and ready to go. Nkuta was able to defend his title and fight off the submissions of Diaz and defend his CFFC title with a dominant finish. If you missed the main card, check out the details here:
Greg Velasco vs. Jacob Heavlin
The two heavyweights seemed to feel each other out in the first round with a lot of clinching in round one, but Velasco seemed to win that round. In round two, after an eye poke warning or Velasco, he secured a takedown and struck Heavlin who seemingly tapped due to strikes giving Velasco another win.
Jeremiah Labiano vs. Tim Dooling
If there are “fight of the afternoon” awards, this one definitely deserves an award. Both Labiano and Dooling came with full heads of hair and full of scrap but Labiano seemed to bring more explosiveness to this one with some high kicks that drew blood and takedowns to secure the win.
Charalampos Grigoriou vs. Efren Escareno
Grigoriou must’ve wanted to go home early because an uppercut in round 1 ended the fight early. Check out his handiwork here:

Regivaldo Carvalho vs. Timothy Teves
There was some beef between these two at the weigh-ins according to what was said in the broadcast, but the first-round submission from Carvalho would put an end to anything that existed before the fight began.

Jonathan Piersma vs. Kris Vereen
Odd stoppage to this one, considering the fight just before was a choke that might have gone a little long, Piersma slapped on a guillotine early that looked deep, but Vereen was not out but was unable to tap. Vereen was upset, perhaps rightfully so but the stoppage came either way. It’s a very questionable stoppage that will likely be discussed in the coming days.

Phumi Nkuta vs. Miguel Junior Diaz
Diaz came in at short notice but the attacks off of his back were commendable. Still, preparing for a champion in any capacity on short notice is a hard task. While he did try, by round four, Nkuta’s wrestling and cardio proved to be dominant enough to end the fight.
Nkuta could be UFC bound and he’s made it known calling out to Dana White after this win, and his title win.
