CFFC 94 Results: Fighter Loses Finger, Re-Attached Post-Fight

The latest event from Cage Fury Fighting Championships took place last night on UFC Fight Pass. Here are your CFFC 94 Results.

The infamous digit removal took place in the co-main event bout between Devin Goodale and Khetag Pliev.

The visceral visual seemed apropos considering the fight venue. CFFC 94 was emanating from 2300 Arena aka the former ECW Arena, site of many extreme moments of grandiose violence.

There was an initial calamity in the arena relating to even finding the finger itself. Attendees were told to keep their eye out for the wayward left ring finger.

Khetag Pliev suffered the detachment at some point in the first frame. But fought an entire round after suffering that injury. The fight ends on the stool after the second round elapses and ringside doctors notice the scale of the damage.

ESPN’s Marc Raimondi provided some post-fight closure by giving a positive update on the status of the phalange.

Raimondi relayed that Pliev was more perturbed that the fight was stopped. As opposed to showing much concern for his anatomical well-being.

Evan Cutts: new CFFC champion

In the night’s main event, defending titlist Bassil Hafez and challenger Evan Cutts went to war for the CFFC welterweight championship. This outing was so competitive that it resulted in a rare fifth round for a CFFC title bout.

Cage Fury FC has a unique regulatory wrinkle for title clashes. Their championship fights go for four rounds. They only encroach into a fifth frame in the event that both fighters are all tied up.

This championship collision goes into that sudden death period where even more pugilistic parity is shown. In the end, Evan Cutts emerges as the new CFFC welterweight champion via a split decision.

Also of note at CFFC 94, Solomon Renfro impressed with a first-round TKO over Nick Alley. Renfro then cut a great but fairly unique post-fight promo #FixTheseDamnPotholes.
