Chris Daukaus plans to ”make a statement” against Aleksei Oleinik
Rising UFC heavyweight standout, Chris Daukaus made quick work of his first two UFC opponents. With the hand speed and agility of a lightweight fighter, Daukaus has garnered the attention of the heavyweight division.
In less than a week, Daukaus makes his third walk to the Octagon against his toughest test to date in Aleksei Oleinik at UFC Fight Night:Blaydes vs Lewis.
Fully aware of his task ahead, Daukaus acknowledges, “It’ll definitely be my toughest test to date. He (Oleinik) can take a beating when he needs to take a beating and he can still keep coming.”
Getting into the matchup, Daukaus knows his clear paths to victory. The Martínez BJJ heavyweight, Daukaus claims, “realistically, it’s gonna come down to me stopping the takedown. Once I stop that takedown I just have to put my hands on him.”
Envisioning his picture-perfect ending, Daukaus says, “50 G’s is awesome. I’d love to knock him out! Knock him out make a statement…Put everyone else in the heavyweight division on notice; how quick my hands are. How THAT much better my striking is compared to the top 50 people in the world.”
