Chris Daukaus previews his UFC Columbus main event against Curtis Blaydes

Chris Daukaus is just a few days away from his second straight UFC main event.

On March 26, Daukaus will share the octagon with Curtis Blaydes in the main event of UFC Columbus. Both Daukaus and Blades enter the matchup ranked in the top 10 of the heavyweight division as Blaydes is ranked No. 4 and Daukaus is ranked at No. 8.

The matchup is a bit different for Daukaus as he usually fights other fellow knockout artist, but this time he’s matched up against the best wrestler he’s ever faced as Blaydes is known for his heavy wrestling approach and prior to competing in MMA, he won a NJCAA wrestling national championship.

Prior to the fight, Daukaus spoke with MyMMANews about his upcoming main event slot and he said he’s been drilling his wrestling really hard and he feels great leading into the fight.

Aside from talking about the fight, Daukaus also spoke about new training methods, dealing with the pressure of fighting in a UFC main event and life outside the cage, including one of the biggest MMA headlines in recent weeks in the arrest of Cain Velasquez.

You can hear everything Daukaus had to say by watching the interview in the video above.
