Wade (12-4), currently finds himself on the bubble of the PFL inaugural playoffs after dropping his first regular-season fight to Nathan Schulte via unanimous decision. Kawana (14-2-5), in a similar situation as the former NCAA wrestler, tittering on the edge of making the playoffs where a win or go home situation plays a role in the regular-season. Technically each fighters playoffs begin Thursday night at the Nassau Coliseum.

The Former All-American wrestler said he was frustrated with himself after his performance at PFL 2 in Chicago, Illinois. Wade informed the media that he’ll have his wrestling coach in the corner at the Coliseum Thursday night knowing Kawana is a guy that likes to bring the fight to the ground.

The PFL lightweight recognizes this as the start of his playoffs and plans to bring the fight to the Japanese fighter. He informed the surrounding media that it’s not a “feel him out” type of fight and no longer has any wiggle room entering the cage if he wants to make the playoffs for a chance to win the grand prize of one million dollars.

Wade, a graduate of Islip High School in Suffolk County on Long Island, will be defending his backyard at the NYCB Live – Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York. Co-owner of Island Strong, explains the passion to help Long Island business’ thrive and his passion for taking care of the surrounding waters as “rewarding” work to clear his mind.
