Christine Ferea vs Bec Rawlings Announced for BKFC in April
Christine Ferea vs Bec Rawlings will throw down this April in the BKFC ring.
Ferea was initially slated to defend her flyweight crown on February 17th at the promotion’s big tentpole event KnuckleMania. The third installment of this annual extravaganza was initially to feature ‘Misfit’ going against an unbeaten bare-knuckle boxer and former WBC gloved boxing champ in Usanakorn Thawilsuhannawang.
Alas, that fight will not be transpiring and the news of Ferea being moved to BKFC’s second quarter of 2023 programming was relayed by the promotion’s figurehead earlier today.

In a video statement from David Feldman that was then shared on Christine Ferea’s Facebook page, Feldman said:
“What’s up everyone? I’ve got some updates for KnuckleMania. Unfortunately Christine Ferea will not be fighting Usanakorn (Thawilsuhannawang) on that card. But we do have Christine Ferea will defend her championship against Bec Rawlings in April. Don’t forget to tune in to the biggest show in BKFC history, KnuckleMania 3 next Friday, February 17th.”
Within the caption for the video linked above, Ferea stated:
“Update from the prez on @ChristineFerea – Looks like she’ll be facing the one and only Rowdy Bec Rawlings in April! I want to apologize to my sponsors and fans for this fight not happening at knucklemania. We have been working hard putting in the work to get ready. But just a little longer wait for this next one that I l’ve been wanting for a long time.”
“The best vs. The best in the division. No running to win. Let’s see who can take the power, skill, and damage. This is the fight of the year, I never underestimate my opponent I’m coming. I promise #andstill”
BKFC
Ferea is the inaugural BKFC flyweight champion and looks to notch the sophomore defense of her belt in this next contest.
‘Misfit’ last competed at BKFC 28 in August of last year when she dispatched Taylor Starling by way of a sub-fifty-second stoppage.
Rawlings-Rodriguez cemented herself as the inaugural Police Gazette women’s featherweight champion. ‘Rowdy’ defended that strap a pair of times while also capturing the WBF Latin American title in the process.
Rawlings went 3-0 in bare-knuckle boxing but then departed bare-knuckle for close to three and a half years to take a pair of Bellator MMA fights that saw her go 1-1.
She looks to rebound from a 2022 campaign that saw her go 0-2. First, Rawlings took her first bare-knuckle boxing loss to now-BKFC strawweight champion Britain Hart Beltran to go one win apiece in their series. Then losing her gloved boxing debut via unanimous decision to Natasha Kurene.
