Christine Ferea Wins First-Ever BKFC Women’s Flyweight Belt

At BKFC’s Knucklemania 2, the relatively new organization crowned their first-ever Women’s Flyweight Champion.

The title fight was a rematch between fan-favorite Britain Hart-Beltran and former Invicta FC contender Christine Ferea, who was also the former Police Gazette American Women’s Featherweight Champion in the sport of bare knuckle.

Hart-Beltran was coming into the fight riding a four-fight win streak in the organization, with wins over Randine Eckholm, Paige Vanzant, Jenny Clausius, and Pearl Gonzalez. Ferea on the other hand came into the fight with not only a previous win over Hart-Beltran but also on a two-fight win streak.

In their first meeting, back in 2019, Ferea defeated Hart-Beltran via doctor stoppage in the second round. In their most recent meeting this last Saturday however, Hart-Beltran took Ferea to the distance in a five-round war. The two top contenders put on an amazing performance, but Ferea’s power and combination speed were just too much for Hart-Beltran. Ultimately leading to a unanimous decision for Ferea.

Thus, the first-ever BKFC Women’s Flyweight champion was crowned. That new Flyweight queen is Christine Ferea.

Following the fight, the newly crowned champ made it very clear what is next for her. As she put it, what’s next for her is simply “beating someone’s ass.”

Though she stated that she feels like she has to defend the belt a few times to be able to call herself a champion, she is absolutely the BKFC Women’s Flyweight Champion, and we can’t wait to see her toe-the-line once again.
