Clay Collard TKO’s Stevie Ray in main card opener at PFL 6
The Professional Fighters League returns to us tonight, June 23, 2023, for PFL 6, going down live from the Overtime Elite Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Headlining the event is a lightweight encounter between 2022 champion Olivier Aubin-Mercier (18-5) and Challenger Series alum Anthony Romero (12-1), each talent of which has gone 1-0 thus far into the year.
Co-headlining the event is a welterweight bout showcasing another 2022 champion in Sadibou Sy (14-6-2), who takes on Shane Mitchell (13-5) later in the evening.
Opening up the main card tonight was a lightweight affair between a pair of UFC veterans in former SFFN champ-champ Clay Collard (23-10) and former Cage Warriors lightweight champion Stevie Ray (25-13).

Official Result: Clay Collard def. Stevie Ray via TKO (punches) at 1:04 of round two
Ray secures a takedown right out of the gate ends up taking Collard’s back, though midway through the round Collard is able to shake him off. From there Collard gets to work with his striking, attacking the legs and body of Ray well with his punches and leg kicks.
Collard drops Ray in the second with a beautifully timed right hand, and instead of following Ray to the mat, he makes him stand back up.

Once Ray is back to his feet Collard attacks with more vicious hooks in combination to the body and the head, and after Ray is dropped again the referee is eventually forced to stop the fight.

Clay Collard improves his streak to two-straight (7-2 in last nine since 2019) with this stoppage victory over Stevie Ray tonight at PFL 6, as he advances to the 2023 playoffs.
