Cody Pfister arrested, released

Former UFC lightweight Cody Pfister was arrested over the weekend according to Amarillo.com. Pfister, who holds a professional mixed martial arts record of 13-6-1, was taken into custody and booked into the Potter County jail with the offense listed as assault causing bodily injury to a family member.  The incident allegedly dates back to June 5.

Pfister, also now serving as an MMA promoter, hosted his first show after being released on a $5,000 bond on Saturday. Pfister’s Fist Fight League hosted its first Fist Fight Night at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Azteca Music Hall.

Pfister went 1-3 in the UFC to include a loss to Sage Northcutt.  His most recent sanctioned fight was a win at Bellator 174 in March.

Pfister is innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
