Conor McGregor cancels plans for XXX sequel with Vin Diesel
In December it was announced that UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor was going to have a role in the upcoming Vin Diesel film, “xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.”
The movie of course is a sequel to the hit 2002 film, “XXX” where Diesel played Xander Cage, a thrill seeking extreme sports enthusiast, stuntman and rebellious athlete-turned-reluctant spy for the National Security Agency who is sent on a dangerous mission to infiltrate a group of potential Russian terrorists in Central Europe.
Now, McGregor has chosen to abandon the role to focus more on mixed martial arts.
ESPN’s Brett Okamoto broke the news on Sports Center yesterday.
As I mentioned on @SportsCenter, I'm told McGregor has canceled his planned appearance in Vin Diesel's XXX film. Doesn't want distraction.
