Cris Cyborg vs Amanda Nunes booked for UFC 232
UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg will defend her strap against bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes at UFC 232 on the organization’s close out calendar event on December 29 in Las Vegas.
UFC President Dana White told ESPN earlier today that the fight which has been speculated for months will finally take place at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
Cyborg (20-1 MMA, 5-0 UFC) is arguably the most dominant female mixed martial artist of all time, while Nunes (16-4 MMA, 9-1 UFC) is without a doub the best to ever compete at bantamweight.
The featherweight champion confirmed the booking via Instagram after White’s announcement.
Cyborg is coming off a TKO victory over Yana Kunitskaya at UFC 222 earlier this year while Nunes is coming off a victory over Raquel Pennington. No other fights for the UFC 232 card have been announced as of yet.
