Cris Cyborg wins “official” pro boxing debut by way of unanimous decision

Bellator MMA featherweight champion Cris Cyborg won her official professional boxing debut on Saturday night.

Cyborg defeated Gabrielle Holloway by way of unanimous decision (40-35, 39-36, 40-34).

The four-round fight served as the co-main event under Terence Crawford vs. David Avanesyan at CHI Health Center in Omaha, Nebraska and aired on BLK Prime pay-per-view.

Cyborg, 37, competed in her first boxing bout in September against Simone Silva at Fight Music Show 2, but that fight was labeled as an “exhibition,” making the fight against Holloway her “official” debut because it was sanctioned by the Nebraska Athletic Commission.

The 37-year-old Cyborg has not competed in mixed martial arts since April when she defeated Arlene Blencowe by way of unanimous decision at Bellator 279.
